12th Festival of Elena Dry-Cured Ham

Once again, the Municipality of Elena and the Local Tourism Council are preparing a rich program for the Festival of Elena Ham.
From October 24 to 26, fans of this culinary delicacy will experience the magic of Balkan hospitality.
The festival’s tradition combines delicious food with a vibrant folklore program, competitions, demonstrations, tastings, and bazaars.
The host will be Nencho Balabanov, and the music lineup includes Gloria, Nikolay Slaveev, Petya Paneva, Poli Paskova, Volodya Stoyanov, and Valya, with performances by the Etropole Brass Band and Orchestra “Slavyani.”
A funfair and farmers’ market near the stadium will expand the event area, and visitors will be treated to a giant banitsa with ham, celebrating the unique local delicacy.
A 124-meter Bulgarian flag, representing the 124 settlements in the municipality, will be carried through the town by local performers — a symbol of unity and pride.
