The Panagyurishte Gold Treasure Returns Home
September 12 - October 23

The original Panagyurishte Gold Treasure has returned to Panagyurishte and can now be seen in a specially built vault hall at the town’s Historical Museum. The relics will remain on display until October 23.
The treasure, dated to the end of the 4th or the beginning of the 3rd century BC, weighs 6 kilograms and 164 grams. It consists of nine exquisite vessels — a phiale, an amphora, and several rhytons — richly decorated with relief scenes depicting elements of the Thracian-Greek pantheon.
