Ihr vielseitiges Relief bietet Touristen eine reichhaltige Auswahl an M\u00f6glichkeiten f\u00fcr Urlaub, Sport und\u00a0Freizeit \u2013 sowohl im Sommer als auch im Winter. In den Kurorten in Mittel- und Hochgebirgslagen dauert die Skisaison ca. 130 Tage. Diese bieten ausgezeichnete Bedingungen f\u00fcr den Wintersport als auch f\u00fcr den Sommerurlaub inmitten\u00a0der K\u00fchle von\u00a0Jahrhundertw\u00e4ldern. Die \u00dcbernachtungs- und Erholungsm\u00f6glichkeiten sind vielf\u00e4ltig und bieten eine breit gef\u00e4cherte Auswahl.<\/p><p>Durch Bulgarien verlaufen der Europ\u00e4ische Fernwanderweg E3 (Endabschnitt Kom-Emine), der Europ\u00e4ische Fernwanderweg E4 (Vitosha-Verila-Rila-Pirin) sowie der Europ\u00e4ische Fernwanderweg E8 (Rila-Rhodopen).<\/p><p>Das l\u00e4ngste Gebirge des Landes ist das Stara-Planina-Gebirge, das auch als Balkangebirge bekannt ist und der Halbinsel ihren Namen gibt. Es durchzieht das gesamte Land von Ost nach West. Das Stara-Planina-Gebirge ist durch seine zahlreichen Gebirgsrouten bekannt. Seine h\u00f6chste Erhebung ist der Botev-Gipfel (2.376 m). Ausgezeichnete Bedingungen f\u00fcr den Gebirgs-, Ski-oder SPA-Tourismus bieten die Stara-Planina-Kurorte Berkovitsa, Ribaritsa, Belogradchik, Beklemeto, Uzana, Karandila, Chiprovtsi, Varshets, Troyan, Teteven, Apriltsi, Tryavna, Elena, Kotel, Zheravna, Bozhentsi und viele andere. Die im Gebirge gelegenen Kl\u00f6ster geben Urlaubern die M\u00f6glichkeit, die Hochburgen des bulgarischen Glaubens zu erkunden. Parallel zum Balkangebirge erstreckt sich die zweitgr\u00f6\u00dfte Bergkette des Landes \u2013\u00a0 das Sredna-Gora-Gebirge.<\/p><p>Das Rila-und das Pirin-Gebirge haben Hochgebirgscharakter. Kennzeichnend f\u00fcr beide sind\u00a0die steilen K\u00e4mme und\u00a0Bergzacken sowie die tiefen T\u00e4ler und Schluchten. Der h\u00f6chste Berg des Landes und der Balkanhalbinsel \u2013 Musala (2.925 m) &#8211; erhebt sich im Rila-Gebirge. Hier befindet sich ferner eine der Naturschaupl\u00e4tze\u00a0des Landes \u2013 die zwischen 2.095 m und 2.535 m \u00fc.d.M. gelegenen sieben Glazialseen. Der gr\u00f6\u00dfte Rila-Kurort Borovets verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber sehr gute Ski-Pisten und Berghotels. Eine einzigartige Kombination aus Gebirgs-, Ski- und SPA-Tourismus bieten Panichishte und Separeva Banya. Die Ski-Zentren Malyovitsa, Semkovo und Govedartsi beeindrucken die Touristen mit ihrer einzigartigen Natur.<\/p><p>Ausgezeichnete M\u00f6glichkeiten f\u00fcr den Gebirgs-und Skitourismus bietet das Pirin-Gebirge mit seinen Naturgegebenheiten und Kurorten \u2013 Bansko, Dobrinishte, Predela, Bergh\u00fctte \u201ePopovi Livadi\u201c, Bergh\u00fctte \u201eKamenitsa\u201c und andere. Bansko &#8211; ein Kurort von europ\u00e4ischer und internationaler\u00a0Klasse &#8211; war in den letzten Jahren Gastgeber mehrerer Starts der Welt- und Europacups der Alpinen und Biathleten und beeindruckt mit seinen Pisten, Hotels und einheimischer Traditionsk\u00fcche. Auch Dobrinishte und die Ferienheime im Predel-Gebiet bieten Erholung und Abwechslung. Im Pirin-Gebirge befindet sich der zweith\u00f6chste Berg Bulgariens und dritth\u00f6chste Berg der Balkanhalbinsel \u2013 Vihren (2.914 m). Der Pirin-Nationalpark ist in der Welterbeliste der UNESCO erfasst.<\/p><p>Der westliche Teil der Rhodopen, die auch als Orpheus-Gebirge bekannt sind, hat Hochgebirgscharakter, wogegen der \u00f6stliche Teil tiefer gelegen ist. Der gr\u00f6\u00dfte Rhodopen-Kurort Pamporovo erstreckt sich inmitten eines einzigartigen Waldgebietes &#8211; seine Pisten entsprechen internationalen Standards. Weitere Erholungsm\u00f6glichkeiten bieten Chepelare, Yundola, Belmeken, Batak und Byala Cherkva. Dar\u00fcber hinaus k\u00f6nnen die Touristen die einzigartige Architektur der Rhodopen-D\u00f6rfer Momchilovtsi, Gela, Dolen, Leshten, Kovachevitsa, Shiroka Laka u.a. genie\u00dfen sowie traditionelle Gerichte aus der Rhodopen-Region probieren. Auch wartet das Gebirge mit zahlreichen Bergh\u00fctten auf, die gute Erholungsm\u00f6glichkeiten bieten. Die h\u00f6chste Erhebung der Rhodopen ist der Golyam Perelik (2.191 m).<\/p><p>Das Vitosha-Gebirge erhebt sich vor den Toren der Hauptstadt Sofia. Mit seiner sch\u00f6nen Natur, zahlreichen Wanderwegen und\u00a0Schaupl\u00e4tzen ist es eine ausgezeichnete Destination f\u00fcr naturnahen Gebirgstourismus. In den Grenzen des Gebirges erstreckt sich zudem der \u00e4lteste Naturpark der Balkanhalbinsel \u2013 der Vitosha-Naturpark. Das Gebirge verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber zwei Skigebiete \u2013 &#8222;Aleko\u201c und &#8222;Konyarnika\u201c, die in der kalten Jahreszeit ausgezeichnete Bedingungen f\u00fcr Ski und Snowboard bieten. Die h\u00f6chste Vitosha-Erhebung ist der Cherni Vrah (2.290 m \u00fc.d.M.).<\/p><p>Das Osogovo-Gebirge wartet mit den Skipisten \u201eLyudmil Yankov\u201c und \u201eValchi Dol\u201c im \u00f6stlichen Teil des Berglandes auf. Die h\u00f6chste Osogovo-Erhebung ist der Ruen (2.251 m).<\/p><p>Das Belasitsa-Gebirge bietet ausgezeichnete Wanderm\u00f6glichkeiten. Den Touristen stehen zwei H\u00fctten zur Verf\u00fcgung. Die h\u00f6chste Erhebung des Gebirges ist der Radomir-Gipfel (2.019 m \u00fc.d.M.).<\/p><p>Das Strandzha-Gebirge unterscheidet sich von den restlichen bulgarischen Berglandschaften durch sein tieferes Relief und milderes Klima.
