class=\"article-short\">\n<div>\n<p>Die ersten Siedlungsformen in unseren Breiten sind die H\u00f6hlen am Unterlauf der Fl\u00fcsse Iskar, Yantra und Rusenski Lom. Im VI. Jahrtausend v. Chr. ist das Siedlungsnetz in Thrakien am weitesten entwickelt. Unter dem Einfluss von Bergbau, Viehzucht und Ackerbau weitet sich das Siedlungsnetz in der Folgezeit auf die Rhodopen, das Stara-Planina-Gebirge (Balkan), das Sofioter Gebiet, die Region Vratsa u.a. weiter aus. Eingangs des IV. Jahrtausends v. Chr. gibt es auf dem heutigen Landesgebiet Bulgariens rund 3.000 Siedlungen. Im III. Jahrtausend v. Chr. entstehen die ersten Festungen aus Stein.<\/p>\n<p>Ab Ende des II. Jahrtausends v. Chr. ist die Siedlungsentwicklung in unseren Landen eng mit den Thrakern verbunden und spiegelt ihre Kultur wider. Als thrakische Ansiedlungen entstehen Sofia (Serdika), Plovdiv (Pulpudeva), Yambol (Kabile), Stara Zagora (Vereya), Kyustendil (Pautalia), Blagoevgrad u.a.<\/p>\n<p>Im VIII. Jahrhundert v. Chr. entstehen im \u00e4g\u00e4ischen Thrakien die ersten griechischen St\u00e4dte \u2013 Kolonien (Apoikii) und &#8211; im VII. Jahrhundert v. Chr. werden auch die meisten unserer heutigen Schwarzmeerst\u00e4dte gegr\u00fcndet \u2013 Varna (Odesos), Sozopol (Apolonia), Pomorie (Anhialo), Tsarevo (Vasiliko), Nesebar (Mesembria) u.a.<\/p>\n<p>Im II. Jahrhundert v. Chr. werden in den heutigen bulgarischen Landen die ersten r\u00f6mischen Siedlungen gebaut \u2013 Festungen entlang der Donau und der Balkan-P\u00e4sse sowie Wegestationen in der Donau-Ebene. Aus der R\u00f6merzeit stammen Vidin (Bononia), Svishtov (Nove), Ruse (Sexaginta Prista), Silistra (Durostorum), Montana (Montanezium), Lovech (Melta), Pleven (Storgozia), Razgrad (Abritus), Stara Zagora (Augusta Trayana) u.a.<\/p>\n<p>Mit der Gr\u00fcndung des bulgarischen Staates steigt die Zahl der Siedlungen rasch an. Zur Zeit des Ersten Bulgarischen Reiches (681-1018) erreicht deren Zahl bis zu 20.000.<\/p>\n<p>In Nordostbulgarien werden neue St\u00e4dte errichtet, wie Pliska, Preslav, Shumen u.a. W\u00e4hrend des Zweiten Bulgarischen Reiches (1185-1396) entstehen Niederlassungen wie Tarnovo, Cherven, Boruy, Krakra, Karvuna, Kran u.a.<\/p>\n<p>Ende des XVII. Jahrhunderts werden im Umfeld von Gasth\u00e4usern und Landg\u00fctern (Chiflik) bulgarische Siedlungen gebaut, ab Anfang des XVIII. Jahrhunderts entwickeln sich Gebirgsorte wie Kotel, Koprivshtitsa, Elena, Tryavna, Gabrovo, Sliven, Samokov u.a. zu Gewerbezentren.<\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0und im Umland der St\u00e4dte aus der Zeit der Thraker, Griechen, R\u00f6mer sowie des Ersten- und Zweiten Bulgarischen Reiches sind \u00dcberreste von Festungen oder Ansiedlungen erhalten. Heute gibt es in Bulgarien 256 St\u00e4dte. Die gr\u00f6\u00dften St\u00e4dte sind Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, Burgas, Ruse, Stara Zagora und Pleven. Im Osten des Landes sind die Schwarzmeer-Kurst\u00e4dte gelegen: Shabla, Kavarna, Balchik, Varna, Byala, Obzor, Nesebar, Pomorie, Burgas, Sozopol, Primorsko, Sveti Vlas, Chernomorets, Tsarevo, Kiten, Aheloy und Ahtopol.<\/p>\n<p>St\u00e4dte mit entwickeltem Gebirgstourismus sind Samokov, Bansko, Dobrinishte, Chepelare, Smolyan, Elena, Troyan, Teteven u.a.<\/p>\n<p>Dar\u00fcber hinaus gibt es in unserem Land zahlreiche St\u00e4dte, die sich als Kurst\u00e4dte der B\u00e4derheilkunde verschrieben haben: Bankya, Varshets, Velingrad, Hisarya, Sapareva Banya, Strelcha, Kyustendil, Devin u.a.<\/p>\n<p>Von touristischem Interesse sind zudem die Donau-St\u00e4dte Vidin, Lom, Kozlodui, Oryahovo, Nikopol, Belene, Svishtov, Ruse, Tutrakan und Silistra.<\/p>\n<p>Viele bulgarische St\u00e4dte haben ihre Wiedergeburts-Architektur bewahrt: Kotel, Koprivshtitsa, Karlovo, Kalofer, Sopot, Elena, Tryavna, Bansko, Melnik (die kleinste Stadt Bulgariens) u.a.<\/p>\n<p>In einigen St\u00e4dten gibt es erhaltene oder rekonstruierte architektonisch- ethnografische Freilichtmuseen: Plodviv (Altstadt), Nesebar (Altstadt \u2013 UNESCO), Gabrovo (Etara), Sozopol (Altstadt), Dobrich (Antikes Dobrich), Zlatograd (Arealer Komplex), Smolyan (Stadteile Raykovo und Ustovo), Blagoevgrad (Varosha), Sevlievo (Ethnografischer Komplex), Malko Tarnovo, Veliko Tarnovo (Samovodska Charshia) , Pleven (Wiedergeburts-Komplex), Razgrad (Varosh) u.a.<\/p>\n<p>Enormes touristisches Interesse verzeichnen zudem die alten bulgarischen Reichshauptst\u00e4dte Pliska, Veliki Preslav und Veliko
